Hi, I’m Hannah Witton!
I’m a YouTuber, podcaster, and author who has been making stuff since 2011. I make lifestyle content about finding joy and play in adulthood (and parenthood) but you may also know me from my previous sex ed work.
I’ve seen and survived many industry and personal life changes over the last 14 years and since 2024 I’ve been helping other ambitious and overwhelmed creators feel fulfilled in their careers without burning out. I started the Creator Talks newsletter, do mentoring and offer Patreon strategy support, all to provide creators with non-judgemental support from someone who gets it.
The Backstory
I started making YouTube videos as a hobby in 2011 and quickly merged my passion and interest in sex education with content creation.
I’ve created popular series on YouTube like Drunk Advice, The Hormone Diaries, and Pleasure Trove and I’ve appeared on TV and radio shows talking about sexuality, relationships, and the world of influencers and digital content.
I’ve written two books. In 2017 I published my first book, Doing It, a young adult non-fiction education and advice book about sex and relationships. Then in 2019, I published The Hormone Diaries, a young adult guide to periods, menstruation, and contraception.
My podcast, Doing It!, ran from 2019-2023 where every week I spoke with different guests all about sex, relationships, love, pleasure, and our bodies.
At the end of 2023, I decided to close that chapter of my career and move away from creating sex ed content. However, I remain an ambassador for the UK’s leading young people’s sexual health charity, Brook. As a parent I strongly believe in comprehensive and inclusive sex and relationships education for young people.
Personal life
I’ve suffered with the inflammatory bowel disease ulcerative colitis since I was 7 years old. In January 2018 I underwent emergency surgery to have my colon removed and now I live with a stoma (I poo into a bag). Since then I’ve made some content about IBD, living with a stoma, and raising awareness about the many people living with chronic illness and invisible disabilities.
In 2022, I became a mum and have been making content about my experience with parenthood especially in regards to work, running a business, and the impact being a parent has on romantic and sexual relationships. I’ve also been sharing my experience trying to conceive for our (hopefully) second child.
What I’m up to now
In 2024, I started my new business helping ambitious and overwhelmed creators feel fulfilled in their careers, tapping into my 14+ years of knowledge in the space, offering mentoring and Patreon strategy support. In 2025, I launched the Creator Talks newsletter where I regularly share 3 things that I think are actually important and useful to creators. Next up: in person community workshops and events!
I continue to make my own nerdy and conscious lifestyle content about finding joy and play in adulthood (and parenthood). I talk about books, theatre, sustainable style, being a parent running a business, and transparency in the creator economy (amongst other things!) One of my favourite places to hang out on the internet is in The Common Room, my Patreon discord server, where there are excellent and thoughtful chats about all sorts.
